Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing PlayLoft (the “site”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

2. Who may use the site

You must be at least 13 years old to use the site, or older if your local law requires a higher age for digital services. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should use the site only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

3. The service

PlayLoft is a free directory of browser-based games. We provide descriptions, categories and navigation. We do not host game files. Games are supplied by third-party publishers and loaded from their servers inside a remote frame. Availability can change without notice when a publisher adds, updates or withdraws a game.

We may add, change or remove listings at any time, and we may suspend or discontinue parts of the site. We do not guarantee that any particular game will remain available, or that a game will work on every device, browser or connection.

4. Third-party content and terms

Games, artwork, descriptions and other content supplied by publishers are the property of their respective owners and are used under the publishers’ distribution terms. When you start a game, you interact directly with the publisher’s service, and the publisher’s terms of use and privacy policy may apply in addition to ours. We are not responsible for third-party content, advertising, gameplay behaviour or technical failures on publisher servers.

Some games include their own advertising or ask you to watch a rewarded ad. Those experiences are controlled by the publisher, not by PlayLoft. We do not receive payment from you for playing, and we do not operate in-game purchases.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these terms.
• Attempt to interfere with the site’s operation, including by introducing malware, overloading servers, or circumventing security or access controls.
• Scrape, mirror or republish the site’s editorial content, structure or catalogue at scale without written permission.
• Remove or obscure copyright notices, advertising labels or attribution displayed on the site.
• Use automated tools to generate ad impressions or engage with advertising artificially.
• Frame or embed the site in a way that misrepresents its origin or affiliation.

6. Intellectual property

The site’s design, layout, original descriptions and other editorial material are owned byPlayLoft or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view the site and share links for personal, non-commercial use. Any other reproduction, distribution or creation of derivative works requires our prior written permission.

Game titles, logos, screenshots and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Their appearance on this site does not imply endorsement, sponsorship or affiliation unless we say so explicitly.

7. Copyright complaints and takedowns

If you believe content on this site infringes your rights, email hello@playloft.me with:

• Your name and contact details.
• A description of the work you believe is infringed and the URL of the listing.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized.
• A statement that the information you provided is accurate.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

We will review the request and, where appropriate, remove or disable the listing. Because games are hosted by third-party publishers, we may also contact the publisher to resolve the issue at the source.

8. Advertising

The site displays advertising to remain free. Ads are labelled and served by third parties. We do not control the products or services advertised and do not endorse them. Any transaction you enter into with an advertiser is solely between you and that advertiser. See our Privacy Policy for information about advertising data and your choices.

9. Disclaimers

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

Nothing on the site is professional advice. Game content may include flashing visuals, loud audio or repetitive actions; play responsibly and take regular breaks.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlayLoft and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or any third-party game, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability will be limited to the greater of one hundred US dollars (US$100) or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, death or personal injury where the law does not permit such a limitation.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PlayLoft and its operators from claims, damages, liabilities and expenses arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site, except to the extent caused by our own negligence or wilful misconduct.

12. Links to other sites

The site contains links to publisher pages and advertising destinations. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, terms or privacy practices. Follow external links at your own discretion.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the site operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally. Nothing here prevents you from relying on mandatory consumer protections available in your country of residence.

14. General

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the site.
